Michael Runge is the founder of Know No Stranger (KnowNoStranger.com), a community building artist collective set on engaging the citizens and bringing creative projects to their city. He has curated and coordinated many of their projects including but not limited to, Optical Popsicle '09, KNS at the Mall, and The Middle Drawer. Michael will graduate in May with an Art Education Bachelors Degree from the Herron School of Art and Design. He has spent time living in Chicago and St. Louis but returned to Indianapolis to be closer to his family.
Michael is also a small-scale urban farmer. He raises chickens, bees, and has a seasonal vegetable garden. The produce of these activities is shared with his neighbors and friends.
As a resident of Indianapolis Runge has spent the last few years taking advantage of all the wonderful things the city has to offer, and where he finds something missing, he creates what is needed.
